Ayn Rand made similar observations but they conflict with the view that
2 + 2 = infinity. Was “Atlas Shrugged” all fiction? She had some
things similar to Orwell’s 1984.

If 2 + 2 = anything but 4 THEN what does 4 = ?

Don’t you love it when we get to use their own beliefs to show their hypocrisy.

Socialists tell you themselves that there is NO private property, that
government redistribution is legal because you don’t really own anything.

This means that the real test for Socialism has to be GOVERNMENT
CONTROL, and ownership is a distraction that is meaningless, Socialists
tell you that ownership is meaningless. And if “they” don’t know what
Socialism is about…. then we can’t read it in a book because they are
NO LONGER classical Socialists, and since the U.S. Constitution can
change as a living document according to the Socialists, then their own
definition is also changing as the people that are Socialists refine
their goals and message.

Don’t you love it when we get to use their own beliefs to show their
hypocrisy.

All they do is make criminals and violators of otherwise average people.

Passing laws that NOT popular, is a losing plan….. it’s also counter
to the idea of this voter driven Constitutional government where most
laws and regulations require a majority of “representatives” so either
they are NOT the Majority passing these or they are NOT representative
of what the people wanted.

Prohibition was destined to fail as are drug laws and speeding laws.
All they do is make criminals and violators of otherwise average people.

The speed should be different in the lanes and Left lanes 10 MPH faster
than the slow lane. Drugs and alcohol should be treated the same…
Legal, regulated and taxed by the States as originally intended.

Have you read the census? They do ask you how many people live in your
home…. if you exclude your child in the uterus, you’re lying on a
government document. They didn’t ask if they were inside or outside a
uterus.

the reasons are unclear whether they are obtuse or it’s because the

Why do they need to go to college? You act as if they aren’t smart

successful. It’s supposed to be a starting point and you have been
indoctrinated to believe it’s the “coup de grace” as if you have reached

Dollar for dollar you get billionaires that are smart that dropped out
of college to actually make their Billions.

I can remember before I went to college and after, and I can say that
college didn’t make anyone I met, smart. They retained some data and
information but much of that was suspect and outright lies from
professors who presumed themselves Omnipotent and superior to all.

College gave them some education and mostly misinformed them of the
facts and never taught them how to obtain or use knowledge but instead
worked at *filling their heads with already formed conclusions*. Maybe
it was just the professors vanity that had them by the balls, but they
presumed to have all the correct answers and they teach what they know
don’t they.

ALL TOGETHER what I witnessed was more like indoctrination rather than
mind expanding tactics to grow individuals, it was more of a mind
hobbling that created misdirection and compliance. I suspect it’s why
so many Billionaires left college or didn’t go, they discovered that
KNOWLEDGE is useless if you have no ability to apply it correctly. Time
spent learning the wrong things (LIES) is time wasted.

Better to have fewer facts and preconceived conclusions and still be
able to apply the information you have and discover more that you need
than to have a lot of useless information with a smattering of lies and
no ability to apply it or discriminate between the truth and lies or any
imagination to discover new information that’s useful.

I say the people that will accomplish truly great things, avoid the trap
of modern colleges with their preconceived conclusions on Socialist
Philosophy….. College has become the place to churn out carbon copies
and ZOMBIE workers. The failure of the professors are directly
connected to their failed ideology of Socialism. Everywhere you apply

Government uses more of the GDP to pay the interest on the National debt
as they increase the size and cost of Government.

Looks like the cost of the interest as part of the GDP doubles and what

If CO2 can be atmospheric pollution then humans are also carbon living

regulations and one source of pollution is within the Naturally
occurring humans themselves, it is a byproduct and is the unnatural
occurring human pollution that are being produced by humans. They are

We fill the atmosphere with more millions of tons of human carbon that

It seems that plankton would NOT be eaten by krill that don’t survive
and a bloom of plankton would lower the CO2 which is what will be
happening in general as we re-introduce natures CO2, the life on the
planet will balance the Oxygen and the CO2. There is one guy that does
just that, he spreads something like iron sulfite and that depletes the
oxygen and creates a bloom of plankton that exchange CO2 for oxygen.

What has kept the CO2 and Oxygen balanced till now? It will do it in

Why does the equation for the GDP NOT have government spending minus the

You see government spending but where is the “cost to the GDP” of that
government spending…. It should be

I warned my wife to get her money out of the market in spring and she
did. Most of her family however didn’t instead choosing to listen to the TV.

Come September they had all lost millions in the markets joining the
millions around the world who lost trillions as the banks were
forcefully seized by the government and given to other Wall Street firms
who started the crisis.

As the crisis unfolded, I became ever more apparent of the lies being
told by the media and their complicity in pushing government
fear-mongering as they told the public unbelievable things.

The sickening debacle was the spark that ignited the fire that has since

More interest on debt creates more taxes and more inflation and I was in
a few stores just yesterday and it’s NOT getting any cheaper out there
to live.

Government uses more of the GDP to pay the interest on the National debt
as they increase the size and cost of Government.

The higher the percentage of the GDP that goes to paying government debt
(interest on the debt) the less your quality of living will be.

Why does the equation for the GDP NOT have government spending minus the
government payment of interest on the debt as part of the equation.

GDP = C + I + G + ( X - M ) "]

You see government spending but where is the cost to the GDP of that
government spending…. It should be

GDP = C + I + (G – INTEREST ON NATIONAL DEBT) + (X – M)

If you are going to add what the government spends to help the economy
then you need to add what they are costing the economy also.

They have conveniently left out a huge part of the GDP which is interest
on the National debt and it’s slated to be as much as our MILITARY COSTS
IN A FEW YEARS.

Even more since we have 2011 DATA and the National Debt is at 100% of
GDP. I notice that no one is updating the data that makes Obama look bad.

The 2 Billion Dollar Loss By JP Morgan Is Just A Preview Of The Coming
Collapse Of The Derivatives Market

When news broke of a 2 billion dollar trading loss by JP Morgan, much of
the financial world was absolutely stunned. But the truth is that this
is just the beginning. This is just a very small preview of what is
going to happen when we see the collapse of the worldwide derivatives
market. When most Americans think of Wall Street, they think of a bunch
of stuffy bankers trading stocks and bonds. But over the past couple of
decades it has evolved into much more than that. Today, Wall Street is
the biggest casino in the entire world. When the “too big to fail”
banks make good bets, they can make a lot of money. When they make bad
bets, they can lose a lot of money, and that is exactly what just
happened to JP Morgan. Their Chief Investment Office made a series of
trades which turned out horribly, and it resulted in a loss of over 2
billion dollars over the past 40 days. But 2 billion dollars is small
potatoes compared to the vast size of the global derivatives market. It
has been estimated that the the notional value of all the derivatives in
the world is somewhere between 600 trillion dollars and 1.5 quadrillion
dollars. Nobody really knows the real amount, but when this derivatives
bubble finally bursts there is not going to be nearly enough money on
the entire planet to fix things.

Sadly, a lot of mainstream news reports are not even using the word
“derivatives” when they discuss what just happened at JP Morgan. This
morning I listened carefully as one reporter described the 2 billion
dollar loss as simply a “bad bet”.

And perhaps that is easier for the American people to understand. JP
Morgan made a series of really bad bets and during a conference call
last night CEO Jamie Dimon admitted that the strategy was “flawed,
complex, poorly reviewed, poorly executed and poorly monitored”.

The funny thing is that JP Morgan is considered to be much more “risk
averse” than most other major Wall Street financial institutions are.

So if this kind of stuff is happening at JP Morgan, then what in the
world is going on at some of these other places?

That is a really good question.

For those interested in the technical details of the 2 billion dollar
loss, an article posted on CNBC described exactly how this loss happened….

The failed hedge likely involved a bet on the flattening of a credit
derivative curve, part of the CDX family of investment grade credit
indices, said two sources with knowledge of the industry, but not
directly involved in the matter. JPMorgan was then caught by sharp moves
at the long end of the bet, they said. The CDX index gives traders
exposure to credit risk across a range of assets, and gets its value
from a basket of individual credit derivatives.
In essence, JP Morgan made a series of bets which turned out very, very
badly. This loss was so huge that it even caused members of Congress to
take note. The following is from a statement that U.S. Senator Carl
Levin issued a few hours after this news first broke….

“The enormous loss JPMorgan announced today is just the latest evidence
that what banks call ‘hedges’ are often risky bets that so-called ‘too
big to fail’ banks have no business making.”
Unfortunately, the losses from this trade may not be over yet. In fact,
if things go very, very badly the losses could end up being much larger
as a recent Zero Hedge article detailed….

Simple: because it knew with 100% certainty that if things turn out
very, very badly, that the taxpayer, via the Fed, would come to its
rescue. Luckily, things turned out only 80% bad. Although it is not over
yet: if credit spreads soar, assuming at $200 million DV01, and a 100
bps move, JPM could suffer a $20 billion loss when all is said and done.
But hey: at least “net” is not “gross” and we know, just know, that the
SEC will get involved and make sure something like this never happens again.
And yes, the SEC has announced an “investigation” into this 2 billion
dollar loss. But we all know that the SEC is basically useless. In
recent years SEC employees have become known more for watching
pornography in their Washington D.C. offices than for regulating Wall
Street.

But what has become abundantly clear is that Wall Street is completely
incapable of policing itself. This point was underscored in a recent
commentary by Henry Blodget of Business Insider….

Wall Street can’t be trusted to manage—or even correctly assess—its own
risks.

This is in part because, time and again, Wall Street has demonstrated
that it doesn’t even KNOW what risks it is taking.

In short, Wall Street bankers are just a bunch of kids playing with
dynamite.

There are two reasons for this, neither of which boil down to “stupidity.”

The first reason is that the gambling instruments the banks now use are
mind-bogglingly complicated. Warren Buffett once described derivatives
as “weapons of mass destruction.” And those weapons have gotten a lot
more complex in the past few years.
The second reason is that Wall Street‘s incentive structure is
fundamentally flawed: Bankers get all of the upside for winning bets,
and someone else—the government or shareholders—covers the downside.
The second reason is particularly insidious. The worst thing that can
happen to a trader who blows a huge bet and demolishes his
firm—literally the worst thing—is that he will get fired. Then he will
immediately go get a job at a hedge fund and make more than he was
making before he blew up the firm.
We never learned one of the basic lessons that we should have learned
from the financial crisis of 2008.

Wall Street bankers take huge risks because the risk/reward ratio is all
messed up.

If the bankers make huge bets and they win, then they win big.

If the bankers make huge bets and they lose, then the federal government
uses taxpayer money to clean up the mess.

Under those kind of conditions, why not bet the farm?

Sadly, most Americans do not even know what derivatives are.

Most Americans have no idea that we are rapidly approaching a horrific
derivatives crisis that is going to make 2008 look like a Sunday picnic.

According to the Comptroller of the Currency, the “too big to fail”
banks have exposure to derivatives that is absolutely mind blowing.
Just check out the following numbers from an official U.S. government
report….

JPMorgan Chase – $70.1 Trillion

Citibank – $52.1 Trillion

Bank of America – $50.1 Trillion

So a 2 billion dollar loss for JP Morgan is nothing compared to their
total exposure of over 70 trillion dollars.

Overall, the 9 largest U.S. banks have a total of more than 200 trillion
dollars of exposure to derivatives. That is approximately 3 times the
size of the entire global economy.

It is hard for the average person on the street to begin to comprehend
how immense this derivatives bubble is.

So let’s not make too much out of this 2 billion dollar loss by JP Morgan.

This is just chicken feed.

This is just a preview of coming attractions.

Soon enough the real problems with derivatives will begin, and when that
happens it will shake the entire global financial system to the core.

Yes you have to explain everything to Liberals… All Government
spending is paid for by the TAX payers.

SO all Government SPENDING is looking for a tax to use as a source of
money to pay for that spending. That means all spending is a tax or
maybe better called a “POTENTIAL TAX” that will need to be levied on
taxpayers at some point in time.

The Liberal plan to get that tax money is to spend more and that will
somehow create new wealth to tax and pay for the borrowed money and the
interest on that borrowed money.

Instead, the borrowed money and the wealth it supposedly created
evaporates into the vacuum of the universe. Low tax receipts means NO
NEW wealth is being created to tax and then there is all that borrowed
money that we can’t find.

IN SHORT, borrowing and printing new money, is a tax that has yet to be
implemented to pay for money and interest that is already spent.

The recent elections in France and in Greece have thrown the global
financial system into an uproar. Fear and worry are everywhere and
nobody is quite sure what is going to happen next. All of the financial
deals that Greece has made over the past few years may be null and void.
Nobody is going to know for sure until a new government is formed, and
at this point it looks like that is not going to happen and that there
will need to be new elections in June. All of the financial deals that
France has made over the past few years may be null and void as well.
New French President Francois Hollande seems determined to take France
on a path away from austerity. But can France really afford to keep
spending money that it does not have? France has already lost its AAA
credit rating and French bond yields have started to move up toward
dangerous territory. And Greek politicians are delusional if they think
they have any other choice other than austerity. Without European
bailout money (which they won't get if they don't honor their current
agreements), nobody is going to want to lend Greece a dime.

And all of this talk about "austerity" is kind of silly anyway. It
isn't as if either France or Greece was going to have a balanced budget
any time soon. Both nations were still running up huge amounts of debt
even under the "austerity" budgets.

But the citizens of both nations have sent a clear message that they are
not going to tolerate even a slowdown in government spending. They want
to go back to the debt-fueled prosperity of the last several decades,
even if it makes their long-term financial problems a lot worse.

Unfortunately, as I mentioned earlier, Greece does not have that option.
Without the bailout money that they are scheduled to get, Greece does
not have a prayer of avoiding a disorderly default. Private investors
would have to be insane to lend Greece money if the bailout deal falls
apart. Greece desperately needs the help of the EU, the ECB and the IMF
and the only way they are going to get it is if they abide by the terms
of the agreements that have already been reached.

The only way that Greece can avoid austerity at this point would be to
leave the euro. Nobody would want to lend money to Greece under that
scenario either, but Greece could choose to print huge amounts of their
own national currency if they wanted to.

The situation is different in France. Investors are still willing to
lend to France at reasonable interest rates, but if France chooses to
run up huge amounts of additional debt at some point they will end up
just like Greece.

What is even more important in the short-term is the crumbling of the
French/German alliance on European fiscal matters. Angela Merkel and
Nicolas Sarkozy were a united front, but now Merkel and Hollande are
likely to have conflict after conflict.

Instead of moving in one clear direction, the eurozone is now fractured
and tensions are rising.

So what comes next?

Well, investors are not certain what comes next and that has many of
them deeply concerned.

families and the federal government continues to run up gigantic amounts

When Europe descends into financial chaos, the United States is not
going to escape it. The financial crisis of 2008 deeply affected the

South Florida leads the nation in distressed home mortgages, signaling a
lengthy recovery even if the housing market has hit bottom, as many
experts say.

Nearly a quarter of home mortgages in Palm Beach, Broward and Miami-Dade
counties are at least 90 days overdue or in foreclosure, according to
data released Wednesday. The percentage has declined over the past year.

The report comes from Foreclosure-Response.org, a joint project of
national nonprofit groups Local Initiatives Support Corp., Urban
Institute and the Center for Housing Policy.

As of December, 23.6 percent of loans in the three counties are in the
foreclosure process or seriously delinquent. That’s down from 24.6
percent at year-end 2010.

South Florida has topped the nation in the share of distressed homes for
the past seven quarters.

With so many foreclosures in the pipeline, some analysts worry that
bank-owned homes could flood the market and drive down prices. But many
other observers expect values to remain stable because eager buyers,
attracted in part by low interest rates, are competing for a limited
supply of properties.

The large number of troubled loans is the result of jammed courts in
states like Florida, where judges must approve foreclosures, according
to the Foreclosure-Response.org report.

It takes an average of 861 days for a lender to repossess a property in
Florida, says RealtyTrac Inc., a California foreclosure listing firm.

Florida and other states need to balance approving foreclosures in a
more timely manner with giving struggling homeowners their due process,
said Rob Pitingolo, a research assistant at the Urban Institute.

“It’s tough because we do want to make sure there are protections for
borrowers,” he said. “But we also need to clear out the foreclosure
inventory if we want to stabilize neighborhoods.”

They were using sulfides in the ground meat to make it “fit for human
consumption” in other words to kill the bacteria and make it red and
appealing…. Some people “as I understand it” can have an asthmatic
reaction to heavy use of sulfides in the meat or wine etc…. it is
said also to give some people headaches. With or without sulfides I’m
not interested.

Either way I tend to prefer my meats fit for human consumption without
having to bathe it in stuff to kill the abundant bacteria from it’s
innards.

I butchered many a chicken and grind my own breakfast sausage and I
have in the past and will in the future raise my own meats and only buy
“whole” cuts of meat from the store. I try to avoid eating s&*$?%t, but
I’m a little crazy that way.
