So you have never understood sociology, psychology or the Scientific
method where you are supposed to be outside of the study so you let no
bias slip into your conclusions.

Blind and double blind studies can help.

maybe just “NOT thinking you are the last word on a subject” that you
are emotionally invested in is helpful.
