slavery was waning when the war, began

>>> The declaration enumerated “grievances” for which the moral foundation
>>> lay to dissolve the bonds with a government that did not accord EQUAL
>>> rights that all Citizens of England had.
>>>
>>> No such “grievances” supported the whining and bitching of the
>>> south—they were attempting to alter the contract they made (four
>>> score and seven years…) prior simply because they (the south) was
>>> attempting to limit and bastardize the very “principles” this nation
>>> was founded on.
>>>
>>>> I know that slavery was waning when the war
>>>> began and fewer people were slave owners and 50 years later, the machine
>>>> age began with cars, tractors and “cotton gins” and other machines that
>>>> would have made slaves more of a liability rather than an asset.

*addendum*

I’ll go farther and say that most *beasts of burden* went out when OIL
and gas and combustion engines came in, for instance we quit using
horses for most things and started using the “more” productive machines.

And I can go farther to tell you that the Progressives that want to
drive up oil costs and limit the use of combustion engines will bring
back *SLAVERY* in many corners of the world when the oil is more
expensive than using beasts of burden.

Slavery still exists and Obama(Progressives) wants to keep it going by
allowing the Slaves to be smuggled across the Arizona Border, many are
*SEX_SLAVES* and the others work for so little money that they need to
get government food/cheese and medical care, like a SLAVE relies on
their MASTER to take care of them because they don’t have the money from
their work to care for them selves….. The reason they have too
little money from too little pay is that Obama allows them to be
smuggled into America in the first place.

Obama(Progressives) say *guns* are bad to smuggle, *SLAVES* are good to
smuggle.

I hope that every American, regardless of where he lives, will stop and examine his conscience about this and other related incidents. This Nation was founded by men of many nations and backgrounds. It was founded on the principle that all men are created equal, and that the rights of every man are diminished when the rights of one man are threatened. All of us ought to have the right to be treated as he would wish to be treated, as one would wish his children to be treated, but this is not the case.

I know the proponents of this law say that the majority approves of this law, but the majority is not always right. Would women or non-whites have the vote if we listen to the majority of the day, would the non-whites have equal rights (and equal access to churches, housing, restaurants, hotels, retail stores, schools, colleges and yes water fountains) if we listen to the majority of the day? We all know the answer, a resounding, NO!

Today we are committed to a worldwide struggle to promote and protect the rights of all who wish to be free. In a time of domestic crisis men of good will and generosity should be able to unite regardless of party or politics and do what is right, not what is just popular with the majority. Some men comprehend discrimination by never have experiencing it in their lives, but the majority will only understand after it happens to them.
