 To set the stage, Ann was suggesting that if we are willing to confiscate the right to own a gun from someone then we ought to be willing to confiscate their right to free speech. (or if you ban guns why not ban speech) The fact that the loons who we can't trust to own a gun, also commit other crimes and have a lack of basic social understandings such as, murder being bad and stalking being bad harassing letters...  Just imagine the fallout when we pass this one and the media looses two thirds of the loons now in public media, music media...

While I like her logic, I don't agree with confiscating guns or speech, but if you do one then do the other or be a hypocrite.   If you can take a criminals right to vote, own a gun... then a crazy person who looses their right to own a gun should also loose...     the right to vote and the right to speech.  If the pen is mightier than the sword, lets take all the weapons from the nut cases running around, Lets make it illegal for them to vote, speak and write and intimidate.
