Thursday, December 20, 2007       WASHINGTON -Congressional Democrats on Thursday announced an investigation of the Environmental Protection Agency's refusal to let California implement its tailpipe emissions law, the first step in what will likely be a fierce legal and political battle.
House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Henry Waxman, D-Calif., sent a letter to EPA Administrator Stephen L. Johnson demanding "all documents relating to the California waiver request, other than those that are available on the public record.

The Supreme Court rebuked the Bush administration yesterday for refusing to regulate greenhouse gas emissions, siding with environmentalists in the court's first examination of the phenomenon of global warming.

The court ruled 5 to 4 that the Environmental Protection Agency violated the Clean Air Act by improperly declining to regulate new-vehicle emissions standards to control the pollutants that scientists say contribute to global warming.

Didn't Liberals want the EPA to regulate the CO2, now they want to sue again, after they just sued to have the EPA regulate co2 now they want to go back to the States regulating their own emissions standards? It seems the Liberals... as usual, want to stand on both sides of the fence on every issue.

In other words, you have no explanation why California shouldn't be
allowed to have additional regulations.  lol

Because(thanks to liberals using a state law suit) the supreme court ruled that the EPA must regulate CO2.

How can the EPA regulate... if the State is regulating? The power to regulate has been forced on the Federal Government by the States(Liberals) law suits, the States rights issue was settled and the States have no rights, it's Federal. SO the Liberals have once again screwed the pooch. They move closer and closer to a monolithic all mighty FEDERAL GOVERNMENT WITH A ONE SIZE FITS ALL attitude, Liberals are killing the diversity that they claim to embrace. Every time I look around, they are homogenizing and killing individuality. Liberals are like a Bull in a china shop when it comes to sensitivity, diversity and personal rights.

The Fact that the States did this to themselves is poetic justice.

Be careful what you wish for.
